Sharing Recent Research on Food Prescribing in Canada and the U.S.

Clinical health interventions that improve access to nutritious food to manage and prevent diet-related chronic diseases are increasingly being referred to as Food Is Medicine (FIM). FIM is an umbrella term referring to a broad range of interventions, including medically tailored meals, medically tailored groceries, and food prescriptions, that are integrated with and paid for by the healthcare system. Food prescriptions are emerging as a promising approach to address food insecurity and diet-related health conditions simultaneously.
